The BioServices Network comprises a wide portfolio of services off ered by five of the UK’s leading research and bioincubator facilities; Babraham Research Campus, John Innes Centre, BioPark Hertfordshire, Hethel Engineering Centre & Colworth Science Park. The services are available to both academic groups and commercial companies throughout the East of England.
The services are designed to help early-stage companies by providing a cost-eff ective and convenient single sourcing resource, helping to reduce cash-burn rate during project development and proof-of-concept phases.
Although our services portfolio is particularly tailored to the needs of early-stage bioventures in the East of England, many of the listed services may be accessed by the full range of companies from one person start-ups to multinational pharmaceutical companies.

Campus Facilities
The Babraham Bioincubator, unlike most other incubators, facilitates access to world class research, technical facilities and skill bases on the Babraham Research Campus - a 'real' Science Park bringing together 'cutting-edge' academic research with commercial excellence.
Our Business scientific and technical Mentoring comprises a package of services available to Babraham Bioincubator tenants and companies off-campus. The services are designed to help early stage companies by providing a way to reduce cash-burn rate during their formative years, when companies are generating proof-of-concept demonstration of their technologies and proving the commercial potential of their fledgling businesses to their early stage investors and potential new investors. For those looking to establish their first company BBT has in-house business expertise and is linked to a wide network of business services providers in the Cambridge region so that it can offer help and guidance in the establishment of new commercial ventures.
The services are particularly tailored to the needs of early stage bioventures resident on the Babraham Research Campus, however, some services may be accessed by the full range of companies from the one person start-up to multinational pharmaceutical companies.
Scientific and Technical Services
Unlike most other incubators, the Babraham Bioincubator can access world class research and technical facilities and skill bases on the Babraham Research Campus. This uniquely provides access to a wealth of scientific expertise at the world renowned Babraham Institute including: FACS analysis, Bioinformatics, the production of monoclonal antibodies, Mass Spectrometry and Imaging. Companies can 'buy-into' equipment and expertise on an 'as need' basis thereby reducing the need, during early stages, to employ specialist staff and tie up capital in sophisticated and expensive equipment.
Administrative Services
BBT can also provide administrative services, such as personnel and finance, to assist companies that need support in this area but are not in a position to employ staff on a fulltime basis to deliver this service. Computing support and a helpdesk service may also be provided: access to our central computing facilities provides secure and fast access to the internet through wide band-width links.
BBT can provide ISP service level agreements providing help lines, advice and hosting domains and web pages for the companies on campus. Babraham Grafix is able to provide a printing service and produces posters at competitive rates on site. All these facilities and services are accessed through the single entry point, Babraham Technix.
